HOW IT WORKS

How VIR works.

From registration to a verifiable record. Private ownership by default.

VIR is a public infrastructure designed to register, certify, and verify virtual and AI-generated identities. It works for those who create identities, and for those who need to verify them.

THE CORE PROCESS

The core process.

A streamlined workflow that keeps ownership private, certification verifiable, and visibility fully controlled.

01

Create your account.

Access the dashboard for free.

Create a VIR account and access your private dashboard. No identity is registered at this stage, and no certification is generated yet. This is where you manage identities, visibility settings, and certification status.

02

Register a virtual identity.

Define what stays private and what can be public.

From the dashboard, register a virtual or AI-generated identity by providing its details and ownership information. During registration, you decide what remains private and what may appear on a public page, if enabled. Publishing is never automatic and always remains under your control.

03

Certification and timestamp.

A verifiable record anchored to a trusted provider.

When an identity is registered, VIR generates a verifiable certification record. This record includes a qualified timestamp compliant with the eIDAS framework. It provides verifiable proof of existence and registration time. It supports authenticity and provenance without replacing legal identity documents or court decisions.

04

Certificate delivery.

Downloadable PDF with QR verification.

After registration, you receive a verifiable PDF certificate. The certificate is downloadable, includes registration data and verification references, and can be checked independently through VIR. The certificate PDF is always private and accessible only to the identity owner.

PUBLIC REGISTER

The Public Register.

Visibility turns verification into trust.

Optional by design.

Publishing an identity in the Public Register is optional. Public visibility transforms a private certification into a shared trust signal. It creates a publicly accessible discovery layer for verified virtual identities.

Why publish an identity.

Verification works when others can independently check it. By publishing an identity, third parties can validate its status through VIR without relying on self-assertion. It is not about exposure. It is about making verification possible.

You remain in control.

Even when an identity is public, you decide which fields appear on the public page, you can disable public visibility at any time, and the certificate PDF is never public.

Built for verification.

The Public Register is designed to be consulted by anyone who needs to verify a virtual identity. No account required. Verification is publicly accessible.

VERIFIERS

Who uses the Public Register.

Verification is not for the owner alone.

Platforms.

Verifying virtual creators or AI personas before allowing access, features, or monetization.

Agencies.

Validating ownership and attribution before representation, distribution, or publishing.

Brands.

Checking authenticity before partnerships, sponsorships, or licensing agreements.

Users.

Confirming that a virtual identity is real, registered, and verifiable.

What can be verified.

  • That an identity exists and has a verifiable record in VIR.
  • When it was registered and its current verification status.
  • Which public fields the owner chose to disclose on the identity page.
  • All without accessing private documents or the certificate PDF.
VISIBILITY

What becomes public.

Public pages show only selected fields. Private data and the certificate PDF are never exposed.

May appear on a public identity page.

  • Identity name
  • Entity type
  • Public description
  • Public links
  • Verification status

Never exposed publicly.

  • Certificate PDF
  • Private metadata
  • Owner-only details
TRUST

Trust and compliance.

VIR relies on verifiable records and a qualified timestamp compliant with the eIDAS framework. This allows independent verification of registration data and time, without central authority claims. VIR is designed as a neutral verification layer, accessible to anyone.
